A Lesson in Patience

Posted on February 23rd, by Amy in bag. 25 comments

This past week I’ve been waiting. Not all that patiently I might add – you could ask Joe, he’s a good sport – thankfully :)

To ease my impatience I set to work to make a new bag for myself! There’s nothing like a new bag, to hopefully welcome spring sooner than later. . . we seem to be having a bit of a thaw at the moment here, but the piles of snow are not fast to melt.

I had won fat quarters of Anna Maria Horner’s latest line Good Folks a while back, and Beki’s pattern for the Short & Sassy Handbag – put them all together – and whalaa! A new bag that makes me smile :)

Beki’s pattern was simple and fun to create – if your in the market for a new bag or a great pattern check out her shop!

I hope that you are having a great Monday! Blessings to you ~ Amy

  1. I was thinking about sewing a new bag today to celebrate my pre-spring mood also! Yours is beautiful and it would put me in a good mood as well.

  2. Amy – what a gorgeous bag! Everyone will stop you to ask about it.

Your workmanship is great. Have you ever considered sample sewing?

  3. Hey. I have that same Anna Maria fabric. Mine is just sitting in my “shelf of love”, though. Love the new bag.

Looking forward to the thaw, too. We were just about out of snow here. But last night we got five inches of wet, heavy yuck. It was not fun to shovel. Oh well, maybe all the snow will mean there will be no fires in August. I hope so.

    Take care–

  4. Amy, what a fabulous bag! Turned out so cute. Good luck with the costumes. eeek. Hope the snow keeps melting on your side of the mountain. :)
