Love the wonderland purse! I could use a new one as the current one is falling apart from carrying “everything but the kitchen sink” ! Thanks and I always enjoy your blog.

Amy you’re crazy! I love that bag! The grossest thing found in my purse? Last week I found a diaper that I had taken off my son 3 days before! (Yes the purse is deep, things get lost in there!)

    Priscilla says:

I would love to win this bag, it is lovely. I have almost anything in my bag, the most useful is the wet wipes package, the funniest are the things my 4-year-old hides in it, and the grossest item was the melted coffee sweet I keep it there for those loooong parent-teacher meetings to survive :-)
But I would take good care of this beautiful bag and would never put anything so dangerous in it! :-)

Oooh, pretty, pretty! What a fun idea — you’re going to get some great comments. I love all the pockets in your purse. I currently have two individual cupcake carriers in my purse — and they’re empty! ;-)

    Stephanie says:

LOVE Wonderland. Great bag. Random thing found and also icky…you know those hose type cut off things you find by the box in shoe stores for trying on shoes…found a pair of those, used, in my bag.

    Susan says:

I have receipts that are years old stuffed in pockets from grocery stores to Christmas shopping. Love the Wonderland fabric and purse.
A very nice giveaway; thanks for the chance to win.

    Treasuresofjoy says:

I Love the purse and as far as yuk…I have found (unchewed) gum at the bottom of my purse, with fuzz and lint sticking to it. It made it’s way out of the wrapper, and made my purse smell yummy.

    Goddess in Progress says:

    Adorable, count me in!

Well, I have twin toddlers. So my purse generally contains at least one or two diapers (unused, thank you), a baggie of wipes, and most certainly some snack remnants. Half a cereal bar, some crushed pretzels.

I promise I would not similarly abuse this bag! I’d keep it just for roses and perfume. :-)

    Becky says:

Sorry about the above delete. I forgot to tell you what is the grossest thing in my purse. Probably a ratty-tatty list about 5 pages long that I have carried for years and years. I keep adding to it but never re-do it. It is a list of books I want to read. That’s the best I can do since my kids are all grown and there are not more snotty noses to wipe.

I love that purse. LOVE IT. If I win her, she will not be going anywhere but everywhere I go.

  12. 12
    Emma says:

What a gorgeous bag, count me in! I regularly have random items in my handbag, usually small-child related. After all, who doesn’t need a (single) spare bootie while at the office? The weirdest handbag item I know of is a relative who carries a mini-welder in her handbag

  13. 13
    Debbie says:

I love all the pockets in that bag, Amy. Please count me in. Sorry, the worst thing you’ll find in my purse or pockets is a used tissue!

  14. 14
    Mary on Lake Pulaski says:

Amy, this is such and awesome Wonderland bag! Generous giveaway!

  15. 15
    Wammy says:

What a great Give Away. I don’t carry a purse (I caried a diapper bag for the twins as big as China seems like forever and vowed never to carry anything again) But I would definately carry one of these! I once carried and found a Reese’s Cup in my back pocket anf forgot it was there. Melted and got everywhere. A first glace it looked like I had had a little bathroom mishap…..

  16. 16
    Brooke says:

Great bag! I recently had a tupperware of strawberries explode in my bag. Yeah, I had to throw that one out after continuing to find residual stickiness weeks later and after multiple cleanings. Sigh.

  17. 17
    Terriaw says:

Fabulous purse, especially with all those pockets on the inside. I set my purse on the floor at a friend’s house and the ants they had unknowingly invading their house liked the smell of jolly ranchers in the bottom of my purse. I was so grossed out, I ended up having to throw my purse away!

  18. 18
    Sherry says:

I love bags and this would be a lovely one to use this summer. Great looking bag.

  19. 19
    Deana says:

What a generous giveaway! I used to keep my purse on the counter by the garage door which happens to be by the stove. My wonderful husband was baking a ham one day. As he was lifting the ham out of the pan, it slipped off the meat fork and back into the pan. “Ham juice” (orange juice, honey, brown sugar and the drippings from the ham) splashed everywhere. My pursed was covered inside and out. We were amazed at the great coverage! Since parts of it were leather, I was not able to clean it. Since then, I don’t keep my purse there and I haven’t carried a purse as i haven’t found a new one.

  20. 20
    Margaret says:

what a wonderful giveaway. Thank you for such generosity. I don’t often have gross things in my purse, but today for some reason I have worm medication for horses and dogs. It’s that time of year!

  21. 21
    Michaela says:

Thanks for the giveaway! It is a beautiful bag! You can almost always find gardening tools in mine – pruners, gloves… I am a landscape designer, that’s why.:)

  22. 22
    Bethany says:

I love the bag!!! I think the most gross things I have found in my bag are melted hershey kisses. What girl does’t like having a bit of chocolate in her purse just in case of a child melt down, or a long line, or traffic, or Monday. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work out so well if it meits!

  23. 23
    Marg M says:

thankyou for a great give away!

  24. 24
    katrina says:

    Funny you should mention:

The other day, I went to the movies and got some Junior Mints, which are like little soft chocolate covered peppermint patties. Anyhow, I put the unfinished box into my purse when we left the movie (Saturday night) into my purse, and forgot about it. WELL, when I came to my purse Monday morning, there were (of course) chocolatey gooey mints EVERYWHERE. Cleaned them up, fine…but then Tuesday morning I definitely found one that I had missed squished onto the back of my (leather) agenda with a bill REALLY glued onto the other side of the mint, which for some reason grossed me out to no end, plus I had to try and rescue the leather from the gross tackiness of my candy.

  26. 26
    Vivian says:

Love the bag. I could definitely use it. My current one is a bit tattered and filled will useless grocery receipts for food already eaten. That’s not really gross — just useless.

  27. 27
    Jackie Russell says:

Cute purse! I love the wonderland fabrics. I’m kind of a neat freak so I don’t think I have anything gross in my purse. I did forget about a box of junior mints in my purse on a hot day and they melted all over, that was gross. I promise I will not to put any Junior mints in this purse if I win. : )

  28. 28
    Michelle says:

The bag is gorgeous and I love the wonderland fabric. I will have to tell you about a random item in my purse. This just happened 2 days ago. My husband had been looking for his charger for his blackberry for a week and asked me a few times if I had seen it, and I said no. Then 2 days ago, he needed something and I told him I had in my purse. Well, he gets my purse out and inside he finds the charger. I don’t know how it got there and I am not sure how I didn’t notice. I will have to tell him that it shows that I don’t reach in very often for my wallet.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

    rlbates says:

    Lovely bag!

  32. 32
    Joanna says:

    Love the bag!!! Just lovely!

Well the most random thing would be salt – I love me some salt, so I always collect the little salt packets at takeout places. Only problem is somehow they always leak and my purse gets little bits of salt all through it. I should fix that. lol!!

  33. 33
    Ali macg says:

what a lovely bag and fantastic fabric. Worst thing found in my bag…a piece of squashed macaroon bar ( a very sweet scottish sweetie) it had obviously been there a while as was covered in fluff!

  34. 34
    Stephanie D. says:

Just changed from a winter purse to a summer one, so there isn’t really anything exciting or gross in there. Probably the most unusual is a pair of bandage scissors.

  35. 35
    the 6 o'clock stitch says:

Oh, what a wonderful bag! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win. The grossest thing I’ve ever found in our diaper bag…definitely the squished disgusting (who knows how old) chicken nugget in a ziploc bag. Smelled awful!

I’m hosting a giveaway this week as well…details at

  36. 36
    Cheryl says:

I would love to win that bag!

The grossest thing I found in my purse was a jelly packet (you know those little plastic containers they give away at diners when you get breakfast) that had opened in the bottom. Of course, all sorts of hair and lint had stuck to it. Yuck!

  37. 37
    Natalie says:

Such a gorgeous bag! I have just recently cleaned my bag so nothing gross in there right now…although, I did have to wash it in the washing machine because some of my gum basically disintegrated on the bottom of my purse…there was sticky goo on everything. I even had to wash off the loose change that was down there! It was gross!

  38. 38
    Sara says:

Please enter me in your giveaway. I love your bag.

    roseylittlethings says:

Such a great bag! One time I won a contest at a baby shower because I had the most lipsticks in m purse I think I had about 3o, yikes!

  41. 41
    Beth says:

What a great bag! I’d love to win. Like others here the grossest thing I’ve found is an old dirty diaper (going on 4 days). The closest competitor was some 2 week old string cheese. I’m not sure how we miss those things, but motherhood sure has a way of re-arranging priorities. Cleaning out my purses/bags has fallen very low on the list of things “to do” :)

  42. 42
    Nichole says:

Love the Wonderland purse! I’ve been drooling over your Wonderland fabrics here lately. I need to get me some. Grossest thing ever in my purse – a chewed up and spit out fruit snack from my 2 year old son. He didn’t like the flavor and unbeknownst to me spit it into my bag. That was a fun treat to find later when I was digging around for something. EWWW! Good thing I could launder that bag. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  43. 43
    Meghann says:

What a lovely bag and generous giveaway. I really don’t carry much in my purse other then the endless amounts of receipts I tend to keep in there:)

Thanks again for the generous giveaway.

What a great bag. It will be a wonderful prize for some lucky person. Hope it’s me!

  45. 45
    Artsy Momma says:

The weirdest thing I found in my purse was a dried up old apple slice. Something I am willing to bet got its way into my purse thanks to a little girl who was done with eating her apple and wanted to save it for later!

  46. 46
    Barbie says:

Beautiful…I love that Wonderland fabric too. In fact, I just bought a charm pack to make a bag for myself.

The worst thing to find in my purse is a half eaten, unwrapped fruit bar. Man are they sticky…

  47. 47
    two hippos says:

The bag looks great. I’m pretty unoriginal (and don’t often carry a purse) so I think the grossest thing is chewed gum in a wrapper waiting to be disposed.

  48. 48
    Chantie says:

Hi Amy–love your bag! Grossest thing was definitely tissues from son’s bloody nose–eeew!

  49. 49
    Erin says:

Love that Wonderland! And that purse looks amazing! Weird thing currently in my purse: probably the bottle of yucky orange Glucose test drink I need for my next pre-natal appointment! I better get that in the fridge now that I think of it! :)

  50. 50
    Thistle Cove Farm says:

The bag is beautiful and all the pockets make it handy indeed! Worst thing ever found in my purse was a rawhide chew, a gift from one of the dogs -smile-.

  51. 51
    Cassie says:

Ok, Amy. I didn’t find these items in my purse, but my daughter did when she was about four. Imagine my pink cheeks when I turned around at church to see my daughter standing on the pew directing the worship team with two tampons she found in my purse. We laugh and laugh about this now.

    Lovely bag, Amy!

    Mushyhed says:

I don’t have kids so I would say the most random thing I’ve found in my bag would be a pacifier. I can only assume my friend’s little boy threw it in there.

  54. 54
    Zlaty says:

Great purse! Thank you for your generous giveaway!!!
The most gross thing it’s maybe a used chewing gum in a wrapper. :)

    Happy sewing!

    Zlaty

  55. 55
    Mimi says:

Oooooooooh, I love your purse…so much that I’d like to make it MY purse!

The yuckiest thing I’ve carried in my purse is leftover food from a restaurant. You see, our pup goes with us everywhere unless it’s too warm for her to stay in the car. I save a bite of my dinner for her…this assures me of getting my seat back when I return to the car, but if it’s too warm, I take the food home to her. If I forget to give it to her, it’s YUCKY!

  56. 56
    Brenis says:

    Hi Amy!
What a wonderful bag!! woohoo – please put my name in the hat to win it! I too am giving goodies away all this week :)
Ok.. grossest thing just happened to me this last week. and eeewww!!
Every morning I grab my daily vitamins (that i take at lunch) and shove them in my pocket. Well apparently I MISSED my iron pill -they are little bitty- and then washed my jeans. When I went to put my jeans on the other day… there was this absolutely GROSS brownish yellow gooey stain in the bottom corner of the (front)pocket!!! Took me a few minutes to figure out what in the world it was… and was totally grossed out and confused, until I did!! (yah.. even after i figured it out! lol) Definitely TMI !! But you asked!! LOL
    bright blessings! Bren

  57. 57
    Little Love Things says:

    Awesome giveaway. Love the bag!
Probably the most grossest thing found in my purse was melted gum from the heat that stuck everywhere. It was a mess to clean up.

Great blog! I love your work!

    Patricia

  58. 58
    Gnomemade says:

Great purse – it’s just so adorable. I love the Wonderland fabrics. Strangest thing in my purse – I’m not quite sure, but it seems that everything I ever lose in my house (especially jewelry) always ends up in some random pocket in my bag…how, is still a mystery. Perhaps purse elves who like to collect shiny objects?

  59. 59
    Robin says:

I love this bag!!! I usually have loads of little legos in my purse…my youngest makes me things and then hides them in my purse to find later…how sweet, huh? :)

  60. 60
    melissa s. says:

i just checked, and i had some snakeskin and a bunch of bird feathers that holden found on a walk the other day (thanks for the reminder to clean out my purse)
    LOVE the bag!!

  61. 61
    Kenton and Marianne Ogg says:

How fun is this purse?!?! Love love love it! My purse is always being vacuumed out because I have 2 labs and I think the grossest thing I’ve found is dog hair!

  62. 62
    Pamela says:

What a great bag!!! My mother tells of a time when I was a toddler. She left her purse in a store and had to go retrieve it. They asked her to identify the bag by its contents. The only thing in it was saltine crackers.

  63. 63
    I Love Baby Quilts! says:

LOVE! An item from my purse is my Aveda Purefume, #9. Purefume is so much nicer than perfume and the #9 smells like a milder version of patchouli, which I love, but dare not wear.

  64. 64
    One Little Thread says:

I have so many random things in my handbags/purses that defy logic.

On our recent holiday to the USA, my husband had the wrong drivers licence in his pocket, so the hire car company would not let him drive – I wished that day I did not have mine as I had to drive on the “wrong” side of the road.

My best friend visited me from overseas and boarded the plane home (half way around the world) and discovered my house keys in her purse! Tight security meant she could not get off, nor bring them to me, although they did kindly send a message!

Great bag – I could certainly put it to good use.

  65. 65
    Dawn says:

Ok..this just happened Monday!! My daughter went hiking with my husband and she took her backpack. She hasn’t used it since last year. She reached in to get the snacks she packed and felt something squishey!! It was an apple from last year!! Ick! Love the bag!!

  66. 66
    Shawn says:

I love all kinds of bags! Yours is very cute. The grossest thing I would say is a cough drop covered in lint :b

  67. 67
    girlville says:

lovely purse! the most random/yucky thing in my purse is a piece of gum that fell out of the packaging…

  68. 68

The grossest (is that a word) thing I’ve found in my purse is a half eaten banana. Kids – you’ve gotta love ‘em. :)

  69. 69
    ebook3392 says:

Love the bag! Such cute fabric. I don’t have anything gross in my bag but I’ll tell you the most useful item outside of the wallet – my retractable tape measure. I’ve gotten lots of weird looks in stores when I pull it out, but it’s amazing how many times I’ve needed it. Added to the camera on my phone, it’s wonderful for ideas/inspiration grabbing!

  70. 70
    langlangcreations says:

Half a croissant stuck to a diaper… which made me think it was a soiled diaper. :-p I promise I won’t let that happen to your gorgeous bag.

  71. 71
    mommymae says:

i made a list of my diaper bag contents once…once.

not sure about the grossest thing. probably a wet diaper since i had to throw it away at home instead of at the doctor’s office.

  72. 72
    Janet says:

I dont have kids, so nothing gross has made its way into my purses…yet! But I am an electronics junky, so i have my blackberry, camera, netbook, and nintendo DS with me all the time!

Love the bag! And…. I actually found a half-chewed children’s vitamin in my purse just this morning. YECH.

I ofetn have litte dinosaurs and goldfish crakers in the bottom of my bag.

  75. 75
    The Retired Mama says:

The grossest thing I found in my purse was cat pee! I have a boy cat, who has been neutered, but still likes to pee in containers. If I leave a bin uncovered or a drawer open he leaves his mark. I was able to clean out my leather purse, but my suitcase, not so much!

  76. 76
    Jennifer says:

Cute bag! I have such a small purse, not much finds it way in there. For a small one it’s amazing what fits, though – toys, snacks, and tissue along with the usual wallet and such.

  77. 77
    Holly says:

This bag is just lovely! I ‘love’ finding a half-eaten Gerber Arrowroot cookie at the bottom of my bag, which apparently happens too often! =)

  78. 78

So, I’ve been walking around with a spoon in the bottom of my purse for the past week. I have NO idea how it got there or when…interesting. Thanks for the chance!

  85. 85
    Purple Paisley Patch says:

Oh I love this bag, isn’t the wonderland fabric just too much! Okay, I’m about to confess, so let me start by saying “Bless me father for I have sinned!”. Many years ago, on a planet far, far away, a girlfriend and I went out for a night on the turps (drinking). We drank many, many (way too many) cocktails, including the then popular flaming lamborghinis (aka rocket fuel). We then moved onto our drinks of choice, margheritas for me (still a fave, altho it has been awhile) and cointreau for her. We thought it would be a right lark to souveneir the glasses, naughty girls we were back then, all grown up and responsible now! Anyway, the next morning I discovered two glasses in my bag, but it appears that they may not have been empty at the time we decided to put them there – icky, what a stinky bag I had!!! Thanks for a fab giveaway and a chance to confess! :-)

  86. 86
    Loris says:

Cute, cute bag! Grossest thing in my purse? Well, thank you for asking :-) I’d have to say melted chocolate candy on a hot day….poor planning at its best.
Got to tell you again how much I enjoy your playlist..nice music! Thanks for sharing, Loris

  87. 87
    Stacey says:

  88. 88
    Jess says:

I am in love with Wonderland!! And that’s Moda’s not Michael’s in case you had doubt. I just made a skirt for my oldest out of this! The grossest/weirdest things include: mouth guard from hockey season (3 months ago) without case, an empty vanilla extract bottle from the play kitchen, a Little Tykes dad doll, a LPS butterfly, and a small gren glass vase. And all but the first would be thanks to the kiddos, it’s amazing what they think belongs in a purse!!

  89. 89

    rachel griffith says:

    oh amy.
    me LOVES it!!!

  94. 94
    Toni says:

That bag is great! I don’t usually carry a real purse anymore since I have an enormous diaper bag to contend with, along with my two little boys, so anything gross generally goes in there. Which, on any given day could be dirty diapers, wet clothes, random chewed up food spit out by a 2 year old, or bugs that the aforementioned toddler wants to take home. I promise no bugs or recycled graham crackers would find their way into this bag. (hopefully…)

  95. 95
    Amy says:

I found a melted piece of chocolate stuck to the bottom…and when I was working I found a rotted orange at the bottom of that bag…ewwwwwwww

  97. 97
    Ashley says:

Hi Amy – great bag made with some great fabric! would love to have a new bag for the summer… i try to keep the gross stuff out of my bag, but it’s currently filled with little scraps of paper and receipts and gum wrappers, which I still find kind of unpleasant!

Well, the grossest thing I have come across in my purse is…..a bottle of milk that was sitting in there for, well who the heck knows how ling. It leaked all over the bag and contents. In my defense I switch my bags our a LOT! So that is why I didn’t notice sooner :)

What a great bag. Thanks for offering it to us all! The most random item in my purse, a disposable diaper (unused, of course) that’s two sizes too small for my daughter. Obviously, I don’t go through my gigantic mom-purse very often, if that can get lost in there :) Perhaps it’s time I traded up to a more chic less mom=ish purse.

Great bag and great colors. Very cute, and nice quilting. It’s very generous of you to give it away! Thanks.

I was reading the comments above and thinking, No one has a measuring tape – in this crowd of sewing people? Then I saw ebook does! That is my random thing, too. My mom used to always carry a little retractible tape measure in her purse or pocket and the habit rubbed off on me. I use it all the time. Forget the nail files, lipsticks, tissues, etc. – just don’t forget the measuring tape.

Well, the purse is beautiful as usual. I have a gross story which is almost to gross to share, but since you asked. While living in HI we were at the beach with friends and there teenage daughter. Who had just started getting her menstral cycle, She explained her need to change: to her mother a I wanting to know what to do as we were at a beach with no restroom. We explained to her to find a trash bag in the car and then place that it HER MOTHERS purse. Thinking she’d just depose of the used femine product at the nearest trash can. Noone put anymore thought into it. We went about our day in the sun. Four days later after recovering from our sun burn. I proceeded to clean out my purse because it seem really full, I figured to many reciepts again. Much to my surprise I reached into find a pourly wraped used teenagers femine product in the bottom of my purse. Not my child! I pay much more attention to direction given to girls now. Sorry its gross.!

Hard to beat a 3-day old diaper as gross, so I’m going with random– I always carry one of the socks I’m working on in case I have some down time. This weekend I was getting envious (and curious ) looks from other women as I knitted away in Home Depot while my spouse drooled over some tools.

I really love this bag – beautiful fabrics!

Right now, the weirdest thing in my bag is a summary of my life insurance… as I was buying new insurance and needed to list other policy numbers on the application at the insurance office. Strange, but I realized today I’m worth WAY more dead than alive right now (gonna cancel the other policy when this one is issued… but right now, I have both).

That’s so sweet and happy! It makes me smile! :D

The grossest thing… Well – not me – but a friend of mine had this cat. Outdoors cat. And they live on a farm with lots of mice. One day, her cat left her a little “gift” in her purse… Luckily, she SAW it and the “gift” was still alive and pretty unharmed (except the fact that it was SCARED!) so she just took the purse and carried it outside (with the cat indoors, obviously) and let it out again at a safe distance.

It is really more of a sunshine story, but just the thought of what WOULD have happened if she didn’t see the cat leaving it there… YUCK!

Hmmm…The most random thing I found in my purse would have to be my Mother’s slip. Yes…there is a story there. We were at a wedding and her slip just wasn’t working…so, we went to the ladies room where I told her to just lose it since it wasn’t going to cooperate so she did, but her handbag that day was small and mine was larger (which is odd because usually it’s the other way around) so she thrust it at me and said, “HERE! I love wonderland… and so how could I not love this bag!!!

I haven’t really found anything gross in a bag… I don’t carry gross stuff in my bags and I don’t usually check what others carry in theirs. But I can tell you the grossest thing I’ve ever found in a book. I work in a library, and I do collect stuff I find in books (bookmarks, tickets, handwritten notes), but I did not keep the CIGARETTE BUTT I found in a novel once… Eugh…

Random gross thing in my purse? Okay Tampons that have been in the bottom of my purse so long that they are half open and the cotton part is “dusting” the lining of my bag!!! It is super embarrassing when my 18 month old is digging through my bag at the checkout lane and pulls one of those out and hands them to me. I think I really should clean it out and toss them! LOL

Lovely bag.. The most gross thing in a purse was not in my purse but I was gorssed out. I had gone shopping with a Aunt. Well here is my story… as a mom with a child who still needs a diaper bag I have just given up on having a separate purse instead I just use the diaper bag. Well my daughter loves to go through EVERYTHING in the bathroom when I am trying to get ready. Well she LOVES playing with tampons – yea I find them everywhere – especially the diaper bag (purse). Some still in the wrappers and some well in just pieces. yea so not cool when you don’t know they are in there!

Oh and wouldn’t this bag so be a great purse/diaper bag. I think so.

Growing up on a ranch with lots of animals has always been an adventure. The grossest was a present from my little hunter kitty – a gopher head. Thank you!

Before I was a mom of 7 homeschooled kids and a wife to a carpenter, I had snakes…most people are so scared of snakes – I found that to be true, and didn’t usually allow them in public places…when I would go to visit my teenage brother (who had a spinal injury and was paralyzed) in various rehab hospitals, I had to have a way to get Fudge, my Burmese Python, in with me to visit. Fudge, even at 5 feet, would fit just fine in her knotted pillowcase in my bag. That’s definitely the most random thing/creature I’ve ever had in a bag. She was never discovered by the nurses. Can you imagine the devilish little grin I had on my face as I walked in knowing that in their wildest dreams, they’d never guess that big ol’ fat snake was coiled in my bag. Good thing I carry big bags!!

One time in church, while looking for a tissue to wipe my 2 year old’s nose, I found one half of a licked Oreo cookie in my purse. When I was 21 years old I was pregnant w/ twin girls. I had to go in to the hosp. every week (and later twice a week) for checkups…you all know the drill. I had to take urine samples that I would ‘capture’ first thing in the morning..so the container went in my purse to carry.

Guess what??? The container leaked. So ’nuff said, right? LOL

I won’t tell you what the grossest thing I ever found in my purse was…but…

Even though my kids are grown, at a bridal shower last year I won the purse game by carrying the most items named on the master list. I had an umbrella, an address book, granola bars, sunglasses, medication for allergies, blah blah blah. I mean, I even had SALT in my purse. And you know what happens when those salt packets get a little worn…they spill salt and get really messy! (I don’t do that anymore, but it sure comes in handy sometimes!)

    Hmm…maybe I don’t deserve such a pretty bag.

The grossest thing? Probably some crackers that my son didn’t like and spit inside my bag to get rid of—like it was the garbage can or something! Haha!

I love this bag, I can fill it up with lots of goodies!! I have two totally gross and embarrassing items I have found in my bag in the past week-#1-an exploded container of Hot Mustard sauce from McDonalds.
#2-OK, this is really disgusting but I will tell you anyway–I am currently nursing my 6 month old son and I’m sure some of you know where this is going…I found an old nursing pad (3-4 days) full of milk molding to the bottom of my bag-it was green and blue! Ha! So I really need this bag because the mold is not coming out when I wash it!! OK enough confessions…

Love this bag. The most gross thing that I ever found in my purse was a minigo yogurt that I had quickly thrown in my purse for a snack for my daughter. When I reached in to get it out it had exploded inside my bag. I was very distraught if you can imagine. Well, that purse didn’t survive. I had to get a new one. So sad..yeah right. lol

    Lindsey says:

I wonder why you are opening yourself up to all the amazingly gross possibilities this post is asking for…but I think an old mushed up banana was just about the worst! Yes, it happened to me!

My mom is the queen, though, she’ll often find things like the morning’s cereal bowls or an extra set of flip flops, or an entire meal in there. For my bridal shower the host played a game in which we all got points for all the strange things we had in our purse…she had, like baby food, a desk’s set of pens, a thousand credit cards, dvd’s…and so much more. I’m sure you can imagine.

    Gorgeous purse!

The grossest thing? Had to be when I had a diet coke in my bag. Somehow a little spilled. I didn’t think much of it…I cleaned it up and took my wallet out to dry off a little. (honestly it was hardly anything that spilled!). However, a few days later my husband was packing it up with diapers, etc for our daughter and something brown, soggy and crumbly was all over his hand.

No worries :) It was just a chips ahoy from one of the 100 calorie packs–I guess I didn’t get everything that got wet! Hehe :)

    Laura says:

Beautiful purse and a wonderful design. I’ve just started quilting and am into all things sewn right now. My brother says that in order to be a “real woman” you have to carry a purse big enough for a roll of duct tape. Well, instead of that, I carry two purses. One is a large purse separated into two big compartments- one for diapers, wipes, and hand sanitizer. The other is for crayons, paper, snacks and other misc kid things. Then my purse is about 3.5″ x 5″ and holds my wallet, my “kid wallet” (with their insurance cards and birthday money). I can’t really even fit a pen into that purse!

Looking forward to no diaper days and small bags or purses!
