Sew-n-Tell

Posted on September 4th, by Amy in Doll Quilt Swap, sew-n-tell. 37 comments

I’ve been working to finish up my doll quilt all week. It needs to get in the mail Monday! But I think I will admire it until then :)

Flowers for . . .
I’ve titled this quilt “Flowers for . . . ” I will have to update you with who the flowers are for once it is received. Now I just need to wait and see what arrives in my mailbox! That’s the best part! Getting a quilt just for you that you had no part in creating :)

Flowers for . . . Detail
Here’s a detail shot – I added a few beads to give the flowers in the center some sparkle, and hand-quilted the entire thing. I don’t know how some of you only hand-quilt, my fingers hurt!

If you have something to sew-n-tell head over to Amy’s blog and link up!

Have a great weekend~
Amy

it's a very sweet quilt. i don't know how hand quilters do it, either. i recently tried hand quilting on a small piece and i gave up and went to my machine. maybe someday…

Hi Amy! I love this quilt. The colors! It's fantastic. I left you a comment on flickr. But it's under my new name! Did I see you over at my new blog this week? If you haven't been by, you must come see my new home on the web. And enter! There's a ton of fabric being given away. I'm anxiously awaiting my Doll Quilt from my partner. I can't wait. Your partner is going to LOVE this quilt.

It's such a pretty quilt. I've done hand quilting on a couple quilts this year–it takes time, but some projects really need hand quilting, I think.
