I’ve been working to finish up my doll quilt all week. It needs to get in the mail Monday! But I think I will admire it until then :)

Flowers for . . .
I’ve titled this quilt “Flowers for . . . ” I will have to update you with who the flowers are for once it is received. Now I just need to wait and see what arrives in my mailbox! That’s the best part! Getting a quilt just for you that you had no part in creating :)

Flowers for . . . Detail
Here’s a detail shot – I added a few beads to give the flowers in the center some sparkle, and hand-quilted the entire thing. I don’t know how some of you only hand-quilt, my fingers hurt!

If you have something to sew-n-tell head over to Amy’s blog and link up!

Have a great weekend~

  1. Love the quilt Amy. The fabrics you chose are so cheerful. I also noticed you did some hand quilting. You have a lucky partner!

I'm completing mine this weekend. But it won't get mailed till Tuesday. Our post office is closed Monday for labor day.

  2. That is so pretty, Amy! Before I even read the last part of your post, I was like…she HAND QUILTED IT?!! Wow! So, did you enjoy that process? I've been contemplating trying it.

  3. it's a very sweet quilt. i don't know how hand quilters do it, either. i recently tried hand quilting on a small piece and i gave up and went to my machine. maybe someday…

  4. your quilt is so beautiful!! I've never seen this pattern before, it's really pretty. I wish I did not miss the signed up for the DS7, maybe next time.

  5. Beautiful Amy!! I just finished a doll quilt swap as well. It sure is fun making these little mini's.. You might have some trouble mailing your quilt on Monday since it's labor day. Just thought I'd save you a trip to the PO.

  6. Hi Amy! I love this quilt. The colors! It's fantastic. I left you a comment on flickr. But it's under my new name! Did I see you over at my new blog this week? If you haven't been by, you must come see my new home on the web. And enter! There's a ton of fabric being given away. I'm anxiously awaiting my Doll Quilt from my partner. I can't wait. Your partner is going to LOVE this quilt.

  7. It's such a pretty quilt. I've done hand quilting on a couple quilts this year–it takes time, but some projects really need hand quilting, I think.
