Sew & Tell

I have been doing a little catch up this week! November’s bee blocks are ready to go in the mail finally. Before I forget I also want to tell you that I also have a post on Natalia’s blog today! Go learn a little bit more about me there :)This block is for Amber – she sent some favorite scraps and pre-cut squares for a maverick star. It’s going to be a fun quilt!

This one is for Meg – she sent us beautiful vibrant solids for a Kaffe inspire log cabin block! I can’t wait to see this one come together too!

I’m linking up with Amylouwho and her Sew & Tell – I’m so glad to have something to share!!

I hope you all have a great weekend, I’ve got a few projects lined up to keep me inside and warm. My throat has been raw since yesterday morning, when I went outside for firewood and took a deep surprise breath at -10F :( Usually it’s not this cold until January around here!
Blessings ~

  1. Ooh! Both of those are nice….but I especially love the Log cabin…you've knocked something loose in my brain – AAAHH!!! there's already so much loose stuff in there! ;-)

  2. Oooo…I didn't know it was called a Maverick Star…I thought it was a wonky star…I like!:)

I like how you left a space between the points on one of the sides…I'll have to try that.

  3. I'm with DeeRoo, I love the term "maverick" – I have a few maverick projects but I guess it's supposed to be something you do on purpose! Enjoyed reading your article on Natalia's blog.

  4. Love the top block especially the fabrics used. Just read your background on Natalie's blog, thanks for sharing this with us.

  5. Sounds like time to load up on Vitamin C and throat lozenges. That cold air is raw here too! Hope you're keeping warm with love and projects.

Love the blocks you've been working on!
