Happy Giveaway Day!

Thanks for stopping by!  If you are a new visitor please feel free to poke around a bit and get to know me.  I’m Amy —  a wife, mom to 4, sewist, soon to be author, conference planner, and I love keeping up with my friends here!

I’m giving away this Hunky Dory layer cake:

Layer Cake = 42 coordinating 10″ squares.

To win-

1 – Leave me a comment, I would love to know what projects you are finishing up before Christmas.

2 – Subscribe or follow my blog, or let me know that you already do.

3 – Like Amy’s Creative Side on Facebook

Each comment is an entry to the giveaway, be sure to get them all in to improve your chances.

I have been working on a number of small quilt projects for gifts, I’m planning a big post for after Christmas to share with all of you, however, I have come to realize I can’t keep every quilt that I make!  Every bed has at least one quilt on it, and I have a pile of quilts about 4 feet tall in my room.  Time to clear a few, that I can, out!

Do you need one more gift?  I have 5 quilts for sale (at great prices too!) that I will ship via UPS to ensure you will have it in time for Christmas.  Check them out in my new Meylah shop!

Winner will be announced this weekend – good luck!

  92. Hi! Finishing up some bins for my sister’s new baby girl. :) I follow on Facebook and your blog. Thank you for the chance to win!

Just finishing a couple of holiday mug rugs. I like to pair them with really festive mugs and give them as gifts. Thanks for the give-away chance.

  94. The list of things I am working on is still WAY to long. The biggest task is the 9 “snuggies” that I am making for my niece and nephews. Luckily, each one should only take me an hour or so.

    Have a glorious day!

  99. I’ve been a subscriber (via RSS) for some time. :)

    :) linda

  100. I have several things I need to finish before Christmas: a pillowcase and superhero cape for a local 3 year old boy who has been diagnosed with leukemia and will be spending Christmas in hospital, a knitting bag and table napkins for Mom, yoga mat bag samples for a new retailer, a flex frame coin purse and zippered pouches.

  101. That looks like a fabulous layer cake…I’m sure the other fabrics in my stash would love to meet it ;o) I also find it very hard to part with my quilts – I have no problem if it was always intended for someone else but the quilts I make because I love to stitch tend to stay with me!

  122. Hi Amy, what a lovely blog! I’m desperately trying to complete a set of embroidered rice-bag handwarmers for my father in law, crochet a couple of hats and make a couple of bags to wrap my sisters’ presents… My whole family has just recovered from gastroenteritis so time is against me!

  123. I have one more quilt that I HAVE to finish by Christmas. I’d also like to start & finish 2 doll quilts and a few sets of hot pads. Just not sure when I’m going to sit down and get it all done!

  124. I don’t have any real “have to finish” projects this year. I’ll probably do a couple of mini quilts and some bags for all the Littlest Pet Shops my girls are getting. Thanks for the chance.

  136. I am busy with three quilts, four pairs of ruffled skirts/appliqued shirts, multiple super hero capes/appliqued T-shirt combos, and three more handbags. I’ve been “cheating” with precuts and would love some hunky dory.

I am working on several projects as to which I don’t believe any will be completed in time? I did just finish a neck warmer that turned out really nice; now the hard part is I didn’t make it with a person in mind so I have to pick out a friend or family member to give it to

  265. I would have loved to finish off a queen size quilt that was supposed to be a gift for my brother-in-law. I keep plugging away at it, but Christmas is sneaking up faster than I can quilt it seems.
