My New Crochet Bag

I’m so excited to see so many of you taking the challenge on!  I’m happy to report that I pieced a table runner for our dining table last night…just need to quilt, and bind it and I will share it with you.  I’m excited to have it together – already!

Over the weekend I devised a plan and made a crochet bag for myself.  I work on it in the car mostly, picking up girls from school, so I needed a bag to protect it, and keep it at the ready!  Turns out it is great for around the house too!

I used a half yard of Amy Butler coated cotton.  Not lined, but I used french seams so that there are no raw edges inside the bag.

Joe’s scarf peeking out – I actually have it finished, I just need to get all the extra bits of yarn worked in and block it.

And I put a zipper in the top to keep things tidy, and safe.  And now that this scarf is done I have a few colorful balls of yarn to play with!

Also over the weekend, we had some fun outside time:

Emmalie and Owen up on top!

Ella in her snow fort!

They had a blast covering the shoveled sidewalks and just being outside (then shoveling them again!).  The sunshine was bright and the temps cool…mid 20’s F. The last day it’s been storming, and rainy though.  The fort crumpled – hopefully there’s a chance to dig another soon!

Love your new bag! I had a zippered bag for my crocheting once but the zipper caught a blanket once and ruined it :( So just be careful…. :D
The snow looks like so much fun!! We’re hoping to make it up to the mountains next month to play in it too. :D

I love the bag! I just recently saw some of this type of fabric at one of the shops I got to when I run into the city. I just stood there and tried to think what can I make with that.
