Checking In

So, it’s Wednesday already – how are you doing on your goals?

I love reading through all your plans!  Some of you make me roll my eyes when I read all that you “hope” to accomplish – do you sleep!?  I’m sure you say the same thing about me at times!

I’ve made a bit of progress on my pile of pressing, I started with the larger pieces, and will tackle the teeny ones soon.

Making progress! Started with the larger pieces first :)

I’ve also been working on another Craftsy workshop.  I’ll share the whole quilt soon, but here’s a quick peek:

I hope you are feeling motivated!

Thanks for stopping by ~ Amy

Oh man! Good thing you posted this just in time! The bad news is I had forgotten about it. The good news is I have one of the two things listed done! Yay. Good luck with the teeny pieces.

Good luck on your tiny pieces!! I must have missed the post about the one week thing… i’m about 2/3rds of the way to my weekly goal right now. I’m re-organizing my sewing room! I wish organizing other rooms was as much fun!

I’ve gotten quite a bit done, but am losing steam quickly. My kids are 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 16. Four of them have end of school programs this week in addition to our regularly scheduled weekly activities, which means every evening is booked. Plus we’re having out of town guests this weekend and celebrating a birthday. So while I was able to sew blocks for my quilt top together and the pieced strip for the back, I have no idea when I’ll be able to layout, cut and sew the main back panels. Maybe I’ll have to request sewing time for Mother’s Day so I can sneak in under the wire. Meanwhile, tired but too wound up to sleep equals the perfect conditions to baste hexies. I’m finding this very calming and have basted over fifty so far this week.

Thanks for giving me a space to share my progress. Have a good week!

I finished my goals! I made mine little…because I work full time out of the house, but yesterday I had a sick kid…which equaled a day of sewing for me!

I haven’t started yet! I mean, I was 2/3 the way done when I set the goal, but I haven’t done a thing towards completing it. I need to get on that today!

Love the sneak peek at your quilt….I’m so bad — I knew this would be a tuff week, so I didn’t even list any goal…if I get some sewing time it will be good therapy! LOL

I’ve been working hard on getting our sewing area set up this week – and we’re about halfway there. Still got some pretty major stuff to move over there and get set up, though!

Yesterday I must have spent eight hours working on my rainbow baby quilt top. This project is a whole lot more complicated then I thought it would be. Who knew lone stars were so time consuming? ha ha. I guess I should have realized (my first time trying this kind of quilt). Anyway – my goal is have the top done by Monday and full quilt quilted by the bloggers quilt festival. THANKS for all of the motivation!!
