Featured :: Generation Q Magazine & That Patchwork Place 2013 Quilt Calendar

My mailman has been busy bringing happy mail to our mailbox lately!

Last week, the new issue of Generation Q Magazine was delivered. During the month of May, I quickly pieced and finished a quilt with a little fall flair.  The issue is packed with info for quilters, and I’m happy to be included among great designers sharing fun patterns!

Once I have my quilt back I’ll share pictures – I promise! For now, you can check out where to buy the magazine here, and I noticed that Fat Quarter Shop already has it listed here.

Just yesterday my 2013 calendar arrived! I usually buy a calendar at the end of  November or December, since I rely more on my phone/ipad calendar a paper one is less necessary.  But, I’ve found paper calendars really helpful when explaining to a 5-year old, that his birthday is still 4 months away.

All that to say, I love the new 2013 calendar from Martingale!

In the calendar, there’s 12 quilts from 12 different authors, and an instruction booklet for all the quilts! It’s a great way to sample a little bit of each author.  You can see all of the quilts, here.

Finally, I’ve listed (and sold) a few sample quilts on Etsy.

I’m making space for more quilts, and would love to ship one to you!

I think that’s it for today – don’t forget to enter to win a copy of Small Pieces, Spectacular Quilts!

  1. Can’t wait to see what you made for the magazine, how awesome!

(Please don’t underprice your quilts, it gives the world a false expectation for the cost of quilts and makes it hard for others who are trying to sell their own. And yours amazing quilts definitely have to be worth way more than that!)

  2. Thanks for any other informative blog. Where else may I get that type of information written in such an ideal method? I’ve a project that I’m simply now running on, and I have been on the look out for such info.
