Little Things

Posted on August 27th, by Amy in My kids, sewing, Thankful. 10 comments

Going back to school last week reminds me to slow down, and be thankful for the little things.

Little things, like happy, healthy kids.

Family and (furry) friends.

Kids that like to learn and go to school.

And the one left behind this week, happy to have extra hugs, while mom makes the adjustment too.

I’m always thankful for a simple project to tackle while relaxing with all of them too!

What are you thankful for?

Blessings ~ Amy

I’m thankful for having my whole family together for a recent wedding, for three special weeks with my daughter before she flew back to the States where she works, and for the first warm days of spring here in Australia.

Phewww! There is a long list of thankfulness here, Amy. It is difficult sometimes to make the adjustment, but during the last 6 years, I’ve cried big time tears watching my children transition from high school to college. This weekend, we traveled to VA to drop our son (last of the Mohicans!) at college. While we are pleased and proud parents, it is difficult for me to let go and especially him being my baby. He has been the one left behind and getting all of my special hugs and attention. My daughter will be gone by the end of this week-back for her junior year. The oldest daughter is working full time now. So I guess it’s me and my fabric…as soon as I can see through these tears. Lol, I am extremely thankful the good Lord is watching over us for we have many blessings. This isn’t an easy world we live in. May you and yours be blessed abundantly…

I am thankful that God is in charge and has a plan. I don’t have to know what is next…because He does.

A perfect thankful list Amy. I’m thankful to see my son flourish and grow with every passing day. I’m thankful to have my parents nearby again. I’m thankful to live in my version of paradise, even if mother nature throws us a curve ball now and then. More than anything I’m thankful for every morning that I wake to enjoy another day with the people I love. hugs, Kimberly

It was so sad to see the older three go to school a few weeks ago…the baby was even trying to call them on the iPod (he thought it was an iPhone). And because we were both sad…we do tend to hug and kiss a bit more!!

    Sending you a (((HUG))) too!

I am thankful for my parents. Without them I would be lost in the world, well more lost I should say :) It is the little things that count. Wonderful thanks list and beautiful children.
