Dancing Stars :: January Giveaway!
Hi there! For those of you quilting along with me, I have a giveaway for you today!
Vicki Welsh is the sponsor this month, and has agreed to giveaway a stash pack of your choice!
Enter the giveaway by linking up with a post about your progress, if you are just on flickr, share your most recent picture in the linky.
Don’t be shy – share your progress (or lack of!) this is as far as I have gotten.
ETA – Ack! Linky fail – I’ve updated the code!
All the fabrics are selected, brights are cut, but not the background or white yet.
I had hopes of sewing a bunch of blocks this week, but have been hit with a nasty cold, and getting off the couch has been a struggle since yesterday. Oh well!
Tell me in your comment your favorite stash pack, I have my eye on a few!
Can’t wait to see where you are in the process – a winner will be selected on Monday.
Good Luck – Amy

I’m still looking thru my fabrics. And lusting after the purple stash pack.
I have nothing to show but that fabric is so colorful and pretty.
I managed to finish 5 blocks this month. http://www.flickr.com/photos/65894974@N06/8432830710/
I like the color wheel bundle.
I love the Pebbles set.
My current project, started yesterday, is a BOM Snowman calendar in blue work. Looking good.
I love the Moody stash pack. Those hand dieds are beautiful. I have my fabric chosen at home (I’m traveling for the month of Feb.) and waiting for my templates.
These are fabulous, the pebbles series would be perfect for a landscape quilt I am sourcing right now. Who ever wins will be one lucky sewist!
So far, I have nine blocks complete. Everything is cut for the rest of the blocks and ready to go. I have five more to finish. Lots of fun! I forgot how much I enjoy paper piecing. I just haven’t worked with setting triangles yet so I am a bit worried about that.

I have ordered by bacground fabric, grey, notwhat I usually go with, but I can”t wait for it to arrive to start sewing!! The blue green option would be my choice. I would love to use those colours in a quilt for my cottage!
The Color Wheel would work perfectly with what I have going in my Dancing Star! I have pulled the fabric from my stash, cut the whites and background, and a few of the brights. And made two blocks! I’m happy! Visit my blog for a picture!

Be-yoo-ti-ful! I love the bright Sunshine pack. Thanks!
I’ve got a few done – not so far along as I’d like but there is a lot going on just lately!

The ‘citrus’ would have to be a favourite. Look at it!!
I think the color wheel fabrics are just fabulous!!!

I love the Color Wheel bundle. Those colors are beautiful! (But then ALL of Vicki’s fabrics are incredible!)
I’m in the jealous phase. My work life has a project deadline of April 6th, so I can’t start anything before then. These look great from my vantage point of no starting yet.
Those fabrics are beautiful. I haven’t gotten to even pick out fabrics, I have been fighting the flu and still not up to par yet.
There are some beautiful blocks being made. What a great pattern!
Today that citrus stash pack seems to be calling my name.
Purple Stash!!!! I’m just a purple girl!
Thanks!
Okay…I went back just a few minutes ago and watched how you paper pieced your block. Yesterday I was making the blocks and most of my time was spent on getting that step 3 in section A to lay in the correct position…took one out at least 3 times. So I concluded that the larger 4 x 4 square must be for that purpose!!! You just confirmed my suspicion …heeheehee!!!
I’ve selected my fabric and tried the paper piecing but stop at there since I don’t have the background fabric…not sure if I should or not share my half done work. Anyway my favorite stash pack is the CITRUS GROVE… love the colors!
I’ve chosen my star fabrics, and am awaiting additional background. I love several of Vicki’s packs, such as Citrus Grove, Woodland, Pebbles, ok really all of them, but would need to be practical and go with Sunshine — I need more yellows for my Dancing Stars. Thanks for the chance!
I would have to say the neutral set! So lovely!
I have one Dancing Star together, and one in 4 pieces! All of my pieces are cut…who hoo!
