Modern Neutrals :: Double Diamonds

Posted on June 18th, by Amy in finished quilt, Modern Neutrals. 8 comments

Double Diamonds is one of the more intricate designs in the book, but a fun challenge! The blocks can be turned lots of different ways to make different patterns – I had a hard time deciding which way to set them for the book.  I shared about my fabric selection and classification process in this post.

Double Diamonds  measures 60″ x 72″ with fabric and block requirements for a baby size included.

Pieced by me!

Quilted by Natalia Bonner – with all the quilts in Modern Neutrals, I asked Natalia to keep it simple, no frills, and I love the results!

Fabrics used in Modern Neutrals were supplied by AdornItAndoverCloud 9Dear StellaModaRiley Blake,Robert Kaufman, and Windham - Many thanks to my friends at each of these companies.

Modern Neutrals is the featured book this month at Fat Quarter Shop, and I have autographed copies available in my book shop too.

    I was wondering if you ever considered changing the structure of your site?
    Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you
    could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
    Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or
    2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?

    When someone writes an piece of writing he/she keeps
    the idea of a user in his/her mind that how a user can be aware of it.
    So that’s why this piece of writing is perfect.
    Thanks!
