EZ Dresden Quilting Challenge
Welcome to my stop on the inspiration blog hop, for the challenge! I’ve been using my EZ Dresden Quilting Ruler for three years or so. It is so nifty to have, when I’m inspired to make a Dresden!
About the challenge ::
The Salt Lake Modern Quilt Guild has partnered with EZ Quilting to create a fantastic quilt challenge to celebrate Darlene Zimmerman’s 20th Anniversary with EZ Quilting. We’ve got an exciting 14-day blog hop planned, multiple chances to win the EZ Dresden Quilting Ruler for working on your quilts, plus loads of fabulous prizes.
Follow along June 2-14 with some of our favorite bloggers (some you may know, and others who might be new to you). Plus meet some of our talented guild members along the way.
Work like the dickens from June 15-August 31 on your project.
Come back here Sept 1-6 for a … Read More »
Sincere Apologies
Hi friends -
Thanks to those of you that sent inquiries yesterday, about the malware on my site. I am so sorry for any frustration or alarm! I upgraded a patch for my theme yesterday, and apparently google didn’t like some of the code. It’s been removed, and passwords changed, just to be safe! I had already made a few steps toward a new theme, and realized that it had to be done asap. You will notice on-going changes around here as I get to know all the features on the back end.
While waiting for files to load, and what not, I did a little sewing too! I was/am so impatient when these things go wrong, and needed to put my nervous energy to good use. These blocks are 4 1/2″, and so cute!
Hoping to get things together here soon … Read More »

Happenings –
I’ve been storing up some fun news that I need to share with all of you!
Even though I’m not involved in the nitty gritty details of the Sewing Summit, I’m excited to be included in the teaching staff! I was planning to be there already (of course!), and being able to teach new, or aspiring quilters the in’s and out’s of the quilting basics is going to be a blast. I love seeing understanding on a face when I explain some of the more challenging aspects of quilting! Be on the lookout for registration details in the next month for the Sewing Summit and join me!

Blog Friends
Hi there! How are you today? Do you have many blog friends that you’ve met in real life? Where I live, it’s pretty remote – I know lots of you can relate! And my idea of remote might be luxury for some of you – lol! Considering that we moved from sunny southern California – this is remote, yet close enough to whatever is needed.
Anyway -
Amy lives at most, an hour away from me, yet until yesterday we had not met. Only visited each other’s blogs and carry on email conversations, as possible (we both have 4 kids!). A couple weeks ago with school getting closer on the horizon, we decided enough is enough, let’s get together! Our schedules aligned, and we did it!
Honestly, I don’t think next week would have even worked. Sophia will be in Kindergarten starting Tuesday, … Read More »
Button Love
Hi there! I’ve been working to resolve my button issues – it seems that wordpress likes to play with some of the html I give it. I think I finally found an answer, my buttons are in the sidebar, and I would LOVE for you to add one to your sidebar! Please let me know if you have any trouble with it.
I’m working on another quilt, I will share it when I can, but for now here’s a picture of my most recent finish, since every post needs a picture.
Hugs~

Check it out! Do you like the new digs?
I have a post waiting, with a new pattern, but want to make sure the feeds are up and running!
Leave a comment and let me know how you got here – Thank you!

Google Reader Tip!
Do you get overwhelmed with the number of posts in your reader? I sure do! You all write a lot! I learned from my friend Amy a great tip, and I thought I would share with you :)
From google reader you can add a little bookmark, when clicked it takes you to your next unread post in your reader! I love this because, I often avoid my reader and the 1000+ posts that ALWAYS seem to be waiting for me there – it’s just too much to keep up with! You need to have your bookmark bar visible, if you don’t check your bookmark settings. I use google chrome, firefox is also a great browser.
In your reader, go to settings, which is in the top right corner.
Click on the little arrow, to drop the menu.
Click “Reader Settings”
Click “goodies”

On My Mind
Hi there! I’ve been so glad to hear from so many of you, making the move with me easily here :) I love to know that this space is part of your morning/daily routines, and thanks for the profile pic love! I had my hair cut and colored by a professional. A nice treat and I had to document it!
Last week I went to a guild meeting to share my quilts – I had fun talking with fellow quilters, and meeting a blog friend! Emily invited me to share a while back, thankfully it worked out after my deadline, unfortunately Joe was called for Jury Duty the very same day! Not wanting to bail on Emily, I packed up the kids and made the drive – I’m so glad I did too!
Emily put together this sweet basket of goodies … Read More »
