Hi Friends ~I don’t seem to be able to sit for long enough today (probably not a bad thing!). Monday is early out for the kids’ school, thus the day is even MORE choppy than usual. 3 trips to school and back daily. And it has been snowing again – hopefully it will warm up soon (like 50).
Saturday night I went to Girls Night Out at the local quilt shop, and got to meet Natalia. She was sharing her quilts that she tends to make with pre-cuts — cute stuff! And she has quite a few tutorials on her blog.
I haven’t done any sewing in the last few days either – my extra energy has been put into the Blogger’s Quilt Festival! The details are coming together and I’m getting super excited.

I’ve gotten a few questions, just a few, but thought I would clarify here for everyone. The Quilt Festival begins October 9. With my post on October 9 everyone will have the chance to join in the fun!
May I join in, please? :) Of course! Everyone is welcome to join!
You’ll be posting the directions of what to do again, won’t you? Absolutely! Everything will be clear October 9, but if you would like to see the spring festival for an idea of what to expect – go visit the spring post.

Hi Friends! With just under two weeks left until Blogger’s Quilt Festival I’m excited to get things started!
The Blogger’s Quilt Festival is for quilters of any genre, or skill level – no matter your style we want to see your work!! The Blogger’s Quilt Festival is timed around Quilt Market especially for those of us not able to make that pilgrimage to Houston, but if you go to market you are still welcome too :)
So pick a quilt to showcase, just one, and be thinking about the story that goes with it. What did you learn, what did that project help you through, or to overcome. Did you make it for someone special, or to raffle off at an important event?
And there are lots of prizes to win too! I have a great group of … Read More »

May is almost over! Can you believe it?
Jenny asked for a modern block for her boy. I had been thinking how I could play with an hourglass block and then found a picture of wall molding that caught my eye. And so I interpreted it for fabric and the fabrics made it playful!
On a completely different note — Mr. Linky has been having technical difficulties. A few of you have commented that the links are gone, but by the time I get there they are back. . . I realized I could export the list and take it off of their server! DUH :) So now they are permanent fixtures/links on my quilt festival post! Click away my friends :)

At some point today we hit 400! That’s over 400 quilting bloggers all linked up right here – isn’t that so cool? I know you all agree, you keep telling me how wonderful I am in your comments! Thank you :)
I’ve seen the same question again and again -Will we be doing this again? You have to do this again – can we have one in the summer? And such —
My thoughts are this – once a year doesn’t seem like enough, but once a season may be a little too often, (for me) so how about we keep it coinciding with Spring and Fall Market!
If you saw my first post about this last Monday (yes, I put it together in one week) – then you should understand the connection :) … Read More »
