Bloggers Quilt Festival
I can hardly believe there is just one month left before the next installment of Bloggers’ Quilt Festival! Are you working on a quilt? Or have plans to finish one up?
I’m not sure which quilt I will be sharing, but I will be the hostess, right here! Please plan to participate, it is so much fun and a great way to get to know new friends too. Any style of quilt/quilter is welcome to join. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been quilting for weeks or years, finish a quilt and take some great pictures.
Help spread the word by posting on your blog, and sharing a button in your sidebar. The code is in my sidebar to the right. Thanks!
All the festivities begin on May 13, and you can find more information about how to get involved here.
Happy Quilting ~
Winners – at last!
Thank you to everyone that has participated in the Festival. I’m always amazed at the mass of genuine and generous quilters willing to share their quilts and the story that goes with it. I was talking about my blog with a group of teachers last week, and read an entry to them — there were many of us in tears (myself included) and that’s just one example of how powerful our words are. I hope that you have been inspired and moved while perusing the festival. There’s a lot of love in each of our quilts! The best part is – the quilts will forever be on display here – so there’s lots of time to check them all out! Please send me your feature nominations as you look – I’ve gotten a few, but need lots … Read More »

Love browsing for new fabrics!
The Festival continues to be amazing and well viewed! I hope you all are enjoying a bunch of traffic and comments on your posts. I finished my quilt I was hoping to share with you this week!
I had so much fun designing and making this quilt! It had been one of many designs in my arsenal waiting for just the right fabric, and when Sweet Divinity popped up – I jumped at the chance to make it!
I carefully cut and pieced triangles and strips for each block. I think my favorite part is that there are so many different places to look – each fabric offers a different focal point! Also, after nearly a year, I stippled this quilt! I had a block on free motion quilting, but this was just the right size to … Read More »

Welcome to the fourth Blogger’s Quilt Festival! I am so glad that you are here! I sincerely hope that you plan to enter a quilt and share in the festivities. Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to participate, no matter your skill level or number of quilts completed! There’s no judging in our festival, instead lots of new friends to be made and inspiration to be found!
I must begin by thanking our sponsors! Thank you all!! They have been generous and great to work with in the weeks leading up to today. Please take time to visit each of the shops and find a little something special for yourself.

Hi Friends! I’m continuing to work on the details for Blogger’s Quilt Festival. Look for my new BQF post this Friday to link up your quilts. I’ve been chatting a little with support for InLinkz and feel confident using the thumbnail linky for the Festival, having an image for each quilt will be so amazing!
Are you ready?
I hope you’ve taken beautiful photos, and thought about the story of you quilt. I love hearing all the special meanings for each quilt.
My quilt, you ask? I basted it Monday night, but woke up with a cold yesterday morning and have slowed down considerably. I’ll get there though!
My quilts are home! I’m so happy to see these friends that I spent hours, no days/weeks laboring over last winter.
They came in two boxes from the publisher, but I removed the plastic that they were in and stood them on end to take a quick picture for you. Want to see if you can name the fabric groups of all 14 quilts? Kinda tough since some (most) just have the backs showing….I’ll have to take a lot more pictures and show off Natalia’s beautiful quilting – soon!
Today, I’ve posted over at Stash Manicure! It’s an invite to participate with Blogger’s Quilt Festival – I hope you’ll check it out.
And if you haven’t had a chance to listen to the radio program with Pat Sloan, you can listen here! I had so much fun chatting with … Read More »

I’ve felt a little absent this week…seems I have needed a little time off the computer. Big surprise there! I guess I feel a bit of a let down after the big push for the Festival – I’m glad every week isn’t like that, but it is fun when it comes around :)
Did you add your quilt from the Festival to the flickr pool? It’s nice to see them all in one spot, but I’m still planning to get around and read all of your stories that go with them. I made a mosaic of just a few of the submissions to the Festival last week.
