Beginnings

With fall setting in here, I’ve got lots of little projects that I want to get to, along with the things I have to get to, before the holidays. I’ve saved a pile of wovens, and linen fabrics for napkins, that I still haven’t touched, but I have started a few other things!

Last week I pieced this quilt top with some adorable AdornIt fabrics, and had to bust out the new roll of batting, to quilt it! Love all the possibilities that this bolt represents :

Fyi – it’s a 90″ x 40yd bolt of Warm & Natural

Shopping last year before Christmas, I found this crocheted garland, and fell in love. It’s been on my mental list of to do’s ever since.

Crochet…can be addicting!

I’ve been working on a scarf for Joe, for at least a month, if not 6 weeks.  I started making short rows and going back and forth, but I was loosing stitches on the end with nearly every turn!  So I frogged it and started working long rows.

Currently I’m half way done!  It’s a nice project for the car, in front of the TV or when I just need a fiber fix!  I’ve really enjoyed working , and reworking this scarf.

For anyone that might want to know, the yarn is an alpaca tweed, and I did two rows of sc to start, then alternated dc with sc rows.  Simple ribs form on one side and the back side is flat.
