Zipped Path was almost a black and white quilt, but I found these beautiful prints by Dear Stella and knew the direction to take the quilt!  Using a variety of fabrics of similar tones results in a calming quilt,  and it’s fun to make.

Modern Cross-Stitch is a simple, graphic design.  I love texture and the feel of the Cross Weave fabrics, they tend to be a bit thicker than most quilting cottons and they quilt up beautifully.  Of course this would be stunning in prints as well – what would you use?

Confetti Crossings is a simple two block quilt, made with half-square triangles in contrasting prints, and a simple 16-patch.  In the book I include directions for making 8 hst units at one time, or cutting directions if you are using a Go! Cutter like me! Whenever I make more than a few hst units, I pull out the Go! and I’m never disappointed – one quick tip, if you are having difficulty with a few threads sticking to the die, it might be time for a new cutting mat.  It can make a world of difference!

Color Waves never fails to catch an eye – it is made with Kaufman’s Radiance collection of silk/cotton blend fabrics.  They are beautiful to sew with, and result in a beautiful quilt!  Sophia keeps claiming it for her bed, and I tell her she can’t have it yet.  Maybe I should make her one, but I’m not sure she needs another quilt!

Buttonholes is a rectangular block, with long lean lines.  With this project, complete instructions for making flying geese are included, with no waste, and no bias to manage either!  It’s a great skill builder, for a new to intermediate quilters.
