I feel like the winner! Thank you so much for all your kind words about my pattern – I’m excited to see where this goes, and my head is swimming with more ideas. If only I could find more sewing time!!
I would love to see all the various prints and batiks in this bag – you all have some great ideas. I think that may be my favorite part about the bag – the ability to mix and match, and make it personal.
As for the winners -

Your bag is gorgeous. I would love to carry it. I can definitely say bananas, old ones may make the top of my gross list. But I wouldn’t carry them in your bag, promise! I would make my kids eat them all.

I can hardly believe that it has been one year since I joined this online blogging community! I have learned so much, been so encouraged as a mom and quilter – thanks to all of you that have enriched my life by being a part of this blog and sharing your lives on your own blogs.
A quick stroll down memory lane, if you will ~
My first post, I was working on a quilt just for me at the time. My favorite, it has primaloft batting (super warm) and it has been under our down comforter all winter!
Here I decided to be real.
My baby turned 1, and started walking! Lots of family celebrations too.
Finished a respectable number of quilts (here & here too) – I have high hopes for many more this year!
I have made … Read More »
I’ve had a bit of a lucky streak again lately! Within days of each other I had won a pile of Farbenmix patterns from Fabric Hound and a pile of charms from Angela! These patterns may be the ticket to get me to sew clothing for my girls again. The last thing I made for Ella is here. It’s been quite a while! Aren’t the patterns cute!?
The charms may become coasters . . . not yet decided – but they are so pretty to look at! Thank you to Angela & FabricHound!!
I realize that my blogiversary is coming soon! (and 200 posts) Hard to believe that it’s nearly been a year of cultivating friendships and clearing the creative cobwebs from my brain. I feel so blessed to be here :)

I won again! Jodi, of Simply This, That and the Other, hosted a giveaway for Sheri, who has just started a blog up recently. She made this great Christmas table runner, there’s lots of sparkles on it, which is hard to see in the pictures. I love it! Thanks Jodi and Sheri!
So far this week I’ve been a little pressed for time to quilt. I did make simple doll quilt tops for my girls, for Christmas – they need to be basted and quilted. I am hoping to do so this evening. . . but I have to wait for them to go to bed :) I did manage to get my little swap quilt off in the mail – I will have to show you later this week
I made a simple Christmas card yesterday – I’m thinking about making 20 or so to send off this week. Not a very good pic – sorry.Just this morning I switched to Google reader. . . I had been procrastinating this. I had to be all caught up and make a current export of subscriptions, (I had … Read More »
I probably could produce three different posts out with all that I have to say . . .
First up – I finished our tree skirt! I love it :) It is just over 40″ square. After seeing a couple of others a bit smaller around blogland, I thought it may be to big, but why go to the trouble if no one will see it under the tree!I opted to add a tie to the center – it’s festive :)And I quilted stars randomly – I had to find a good one – they were not all this happy.
Now I can’t wait to start decorating for Christmas!
Next up – My new loot!
These fat quarters and thread are from the Freespirit giveaway. I have no idea what they will become but they sure are pretty to look … Read More »
