Lapel Stick — Giveaway!

Posted on June 28th, by Amy in give away, review. 134 comments

Last week I had a couple of posts with ideas for using Lapel Stick – and I loved working with it!  It’s great for installing a zipper -

without pins, and Sophia and I had a great time learning to sew -

without pins!  The pieces are re-positional so you can be sure that it is just where you want it, and it all washes out, won’t hurt your fabric in any way.

I’m positive there are 500 other ways to use Lapel Stick – what would you do with it?

Here’s your chance to win these two Lapel Sticks!

Leave me a comment telling me how you would use it – for one chance.

Winner and Wonderland Details

Posted on June 15th, by Amy in give away, Tutorial. 19 comments

First, the winner of the Stash Happy: Patchwork giveaway is –

Tabatha, is better off than I am!  I hope you enjoy the book Tabatha – Congratulations!

My Wonderland blocks are very simple!  I started with a charm pack, honey bun and jelly roll, 2 half yard cuts, and some miscellaneous scraps.  As I was sewing I added Crossweaves from a bundle I had stashed, and Kona/Bella solids that worked within the palette (which is varied!).

I started with a charm in the center, and half the blocks received a 1 1/2″ honey bun strip, and the other half a 2 1/2″ jelly roll strip.  I did two sides, then pressed and trimmed as necessary, and added the other two sides.  I then decided to add a 3″ strip from the … Read More »

Hi there!  I’m excited to have a copy of Stash Happy: Patchwork by Cynthia Shaffer to review, AND Lark has generously offered to send a copy to one of you!  Read on to learn how to win -

Knowing that you love fabric, as much as I do – there’s always little scraps left over from projects, that are to big to toss, but I don’t always have a specific plan for them either.  This book is the solution!  There’s 25 adorable projects to guide and inspire you.  Isn’t the cover fantastic?  Here’s a few of my favorite projects from the book:

Cynthia includes clear, easy to understand instructions for each project, basic embroidery stitches, and general sewing basics.  Including paper-piecing these hexagons, to make this honeycomb sheet set.  So fun and can … Read More »
