What Day is it?
With my kids out of school, everyday feels like a Saturday, and I keep having to stop and figure out what day it is! I’ve been sewing tons, and have some fun things to share in the coming weeks.
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas – we did! It’s so fun with the kids getting older, they get really excited about everything. One of their gifts, was gifts cards to Build-A-Bear from Grandpa & Grandma. We waited a few days to use the gift cards, and the line was out the door when we got there! Of course we waited, and the kids had a blast customizing their bears.
The other gift that has kept them busy is the new xbox with kinect. We love that there’s no controllers to hang … Read More »

Last night I went through my drawers and bins and found all the good stuff I don’t have room for anymore!
This morning I packed it up into 1 gallon bags, each bag hold about 3 yards of fabric by weight.
Small scraps up to fat quarter size pieces are included in each bag.
Yours to purchase right here -
Quantities are limited to stock on hand – $12.00 per bag, $5.00 flat rate shipping.
If you would like me to ship to you internationally, buy now, and I will invoice you for any extra postage after I ship.
Thanks!

My Link List – For You!
The Lizzie B Girls have a new eMag to share! There’s some fun projects and entertaining reads in there and it’s free. Go check it out here!
My book is now shipping from Amazon!
If you would like an autographed copy, I have a few left in my shop too!
The blog tour for Modern Basics is starting next Monday. I hope you’ll enjoy hopping with us!
I’m so glad that so many are excited about Calypso Swing – I love the vibe, and look forward to piecing a quilt top.
I caved and ordered some hexagons for paper piecing over the weekend. I’m excited to have some hand work, but a bit overwhelmed by the long term nature of a quilt…they will probably become smaller projects. Paperpieces is offering free domestic/international shipping this week.
That’s all for the moment -

Hi there! I’ve been sick…it’s gone around our entire family – but the end is in sight! 2 boxes of Saltines and a 2 liter of ginger ale, and I think we are all on the mend. Thankfully Joe and I weren’t sick at the same time, that really would have been a mess!
So I need to tell you who won the Sweet Divinity giveaway!
#153 is Milica aka Molly at Crafting Cozy Congratulations Molly – you should have an email from me in your inbox already!

Creative Magazines
Question for you:
Do you have a favorite creative magazine?
There’s lots out there, some great, some not so great. Some I can get local, some I can’t.
And so I’m looking for your feedback! Do you have a favorite? Why is it your favorite? Do I need every issue?
Thanks in advance!

Two More Days!
Happy Monday friends! My girls have just two days of school this week, then we are taking a trip to see family for the holidays! The kids are so excited, and I think my parents are even more excited!
I spent the weekend finishing up my sewing projects for gift giving, and doing laundry. Good thing I can quilt while the machines do all the work! Now to get everyone and everything packed up and ready to fly. . . last time we all flew together, we were a family of 4. Ya, it’s been a while!
And so, I plan to post here and there, and may have a giveaway planned even, but the next two weeks will be a little slower than normal. Check in with me on Facebook for day to day updates and pictures.

4 Things
Hi there! I’ve not met my goal yet, Monday’s are always busy with school letting out early and the usual errands. How about you?
A few items of note here on the blog :
I added a link to my book on Amazon, on the top left. You can view pictures and pre-order there!
About 5 weeks until Blogger’s Quilt Festival! Do you know what quilt you are going to share?
I have a monthly newsletter that you can sign up for, with it comes a free report – “Lessons Learned.” Earlier this year I asked – As a quilter is there anything you have learned, that you wish someone had told you? All the comments have been put together in a pdf for those who subscribe. There was some great tips and tricks there!
Some of you have finished your quilt-along quilts and they … Read More »
My Creative Time
Hi there! It’s been one of those weeks! I just haven’t had much visible creative time. I’ve been creative, just in different ways! I’ve been designing quilts, looking at fabrics (feeling them too!) and trying to make a few decisions. I believe my choppy days, contribute to the lack of sewing, AND I spent a lot of time on this quilt last week, and have taken care of the ignored floors and laundry this week. It never ends! Once our routines get a bit more settled, or I set myself a deadline, I will be on track again!
Another creative outlet baking:
Peach Cobbler! We had some fresh peaches, grown locally, and they were turning too fast to eat. I found the recipe here. It was delicious!
Hopefully this weekend I’ll … Read More »
