Sew & Tell
I have been doing a little catch up this week! November’s bee blocks are ready to go in the mail finally. Before I forget I also want to tell you that I also have a post on Natalia’s blog today! Go learn a little bit more about me there :)This block is for Amber – she sent some favorite scraps and pre-cut squares for a maverick star. It’s going to be a fun quilt!
This one is for Meg – she sent us beautiful vibrant solids for a Kaffe inspire log cabin block! I can’t wait to see this one come together too!
I’m linking up with Amylouwho and her Sew & Tell – I’m so glad to have something to share!!
I hope you all have a great weekend, I’ve got a few projects lined … Read More »

I must say – your response to yesterday’s post has been amazing! Thank you for all your answers and questions, and being so encouraging. I will take my turn after I show you this –
I finished this one off in a mini quilt – it measures 8″ square. I love it! I decided my larger colorwheel needs to be put in a frame, I want to protect it from dust and kids! But this one will hang out :)
I couldn’t stop doing the embroidery on Sunday when I took the pictures for the stitching tute! Football was on, my self inflicted “homework” had been completed the day before and I just sat, and stitched. It really is that sort of easy project, and seeing the colors come together as I went around … Read More »
Sew & Tell
I spent Wednesday – sewing! I didn’t do any dishes, laundry or vacuuming until after 4:30pm! Yeah, the place was a disaster between the kids and all my threads, but I was smiling. As has happened often, I had an idea for a bag that was keeping me awake, needing to be made. So I got busy!My little Sassy Tote. It measures 9″ wide and tall, and 3″ deep. With 2 interior and 1 exterior pocket. It holds all that I need it too, but hopefully I won’t loose stuff in it. Can you tell that’s been a problem lately!?Pretty prints on the back — I love the Amy Butler Love prints!I think my favorite feature is the outside pocket – I’m limiting my keys and phone to this pocket, so I can … Read More »

I can hardly believe that it’s Friday again – this week has been fast and slow all at the same time! Sew-n-tell is organized by ms. Amylouwho and all are invited to participate – yes even YOU :)
Remember those Panache fabrics? Last Friday I cut them up, and started putting them back together — the end result — a quilt top for my sister!
A peek at the details -
And my helpers -
Looks nice and sunny out, but just a few hours later we had this – he’s pointing at the lightening he just saw, and was about to run into my lap for the thunder. Poor boy – still gets to him.
However by bedtime (for the kids) we were rewarded with this beautiful sunset.Really pretty, and more beautiful in person. I hope you have a great … Read More »

I’ve been working to finish up my doll quilt all week. It needs to get in the mail Monday! But I think I will admire it until then :)
I’ve titled this quilt “Flowers for . . . ” I will have to update you with who the flowers are for once it is received. Now I just need to wait and see what arrives in my mailbox! That’s the best part! Getting a quilt just for you that you had no part in creating :)
Here’s a detail shot – I added a few beads to give the flowers in the center some sparkle, and hand-quilted the entire thing. I don’t know how some of you only hand-quilt, my fingers hurt!
If you have something to sew-n-tell head over to Amy’s blog and link up!

Happy Friday! My friend Amy and I decided to save up our finished projects for a Friday reveal – she has a Mr. Linky up for you to join in and share your finishes with the rest of us too!
Not that I would have been able to post anything earlier! We have had a busy week getting ready for school . . . well child checks, immunizations, school shopping and trying to sleep and sew a bit too :)
My first finish is the sample bag for my LQS – Seasons of the Home – I should have taken a picture of it hanging with my pattern at the shop when I dropped it off today. Next time! I had the kids with me and we were on our way to the outlets for new shoes :)The … Read More »
